Rodents & Mice

Just like Rodents, we have different types of flies from common house fly to a Cluster flies majority of people always confuse the two though they do look similar, there are some differences. Cluster flies are bigger than house flies. Their bodies are gray, and they may have some darker black markings as well. House flies can cause potential harm to humans as well as to animals. Houseflies, on the other hand, can contain viruses and germs that can be transmitted some diseases like dysentery, cholera, typhoid fever, and food poisoning can be carried by these flies.

What attracts flies?

Flies are attracted to homes through Garbage cans left uncovered, animal carcasses in the walls, attics, or elsewhere, manure or pet faeces around yards, dirty or leaky drains, heat, light, damaged food/products, sugar syrups, decaying vegetation, spilt animal feed.

How do you get rid of flies?

1.Ensure that all surfaces are free of debris. To get rid of fruit flies, start with the first (and probably easiest) step: Wipe all counters down completely. Keep food particles and leftovers out of the drains as much as possible. If you don’t, fruit flies will breed in these places.

  1. Discard any food that is overripe or rotten. Look for rot, deterioration, or over-ripeness in all fruits and vegetables. To prevent female fruit flies from depositing eggs in these areas, discard any suspicious pieces.
  1. Use cider vinegar in apples. Start by filling a glass or a bowl with apple cider vinegar. Then wrap this in plastic wrap. You can also use a rubber band, then poke small holes on the top part. The fruit flies will be drawn in by the vinegar, and once inside, they will be trapped by the plastic wrapping.
